William (Bill) Wetta serves as project manager at all phases of engineering and construction for the company. Bill's responsibilities include oversight of the Engineering, Automation, Product Support, Manufacturing, and Information Technology departments for the Reserve, Louisiana-based Company. Bill is a Registered Professional Engineer in Mechanical Engineering (LA 23722) and obtained his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University.
Bill's professional activities presently involve him serving on several committees for the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA). His professional memberships include the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers, Louisiana Engineering Society, Society of Automotive Engineers and Western Dredging Association (WEDA). Bill is also actively involved in many civic and charitable organizations including ROCKPAC, the LSU Foundation, and a local community advisory panel reporting on plant emissions. Bill routinely conducts lectures and seminars on hydraulic dredging, hydraulic transport, troubleshooting and repair at the Texas A&M Dredging Engineering Short Course and various NSSGA events.
In February of 2019, William was awarded the Barry K. Wendt Commitment Award during National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association's annual convention in Indianapolis. Deemed The aggregates industry's highest, most distinguished individual award, NSSGA established the Wendt award more than two decades ago to recognize individuals who exhibit the dedication and commitment to the industry that Barry Wendt did.
