RESERVE, LOUISIANA – Last week Wednesday, U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D., visited DSC Dredge (DSC) to tour its manufacturing facility, engage in discussions with employees, and participate in a roundtable with the company employees. The visit highlighted DSC’s leading innovations, its commitment to manufacturing excellence, and the challenges facing the dredging and infrastructure sectors.
During the visit, Senator Cassidy met with DSC’s co-owners, Bob and Bill Wetta, to discuss critical matters impacting the industry. The conversation covered key topics, DSC’s approach to counteracting challenges through cutting-edge innovation and customer-focused solutions and what sets DSC apart from competitors.
“Innovation is at the core of what we do,” said Bill Wetta to which Bob added “at DSC, we listen; we educate those who come to us, and in turn, they educate us on their projects. This collaborative approach allows us to manufacture solutions that directly address the unique needs of our customers. Most people think they can just buy a dredge off the shelf and it’s going to do the job – that’s not how it works.” He added, “we are not just looking for another sale, we build relationships and partner with our clients for mutual success”.
A major highlight of the discussion surrounded DSC’s groundbreaking advancements, which included DSC Vision; and the Muddy Water dredge, with its revolutionary design and system. The Wetta’s detailed how this dredge is specifically designed to optimize efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and increase productivity for customers in a way no other dredge does.
