About This Position
DSC is seeking an experienced Hydraulic Technician III ready to take ownership of complex systems and deliver everyday excellence. If you thrive on precision work, problem solving, continuous improvement, and have 3 or more years of experience, in troubleshooting, assembling, and maintaining hydraulic systems, then we want you to be a part of the team!
Position Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic system failures using appropriate diagnostic
tools and techniques. - Monitor equipment and machinery to detect early signs of malfunction or wear.
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on hydraulic
systems to ensure optimal performance. - Repair or replace defective components such as pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, and
hoses. - Interpret technical drawings, design specifications, service manuals, flowcharts, and
manufacturer instructions to repair, install, and test machinery. - Properly align and secure hydraulic components to ensure safe and efficient
functionality. - Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities, repairs, and
inspections. - Conduct routine inspections of hydraulic systems and components.
- Read and interpret hydraulic schematic and blueprints.
- Operate diagnostic tools and machinery for system evaluations.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Install new Hydraulic systems and components.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex issues and overall
efficiency. - Provide technical support and training to junior technicians.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in hydraulic technology.
- Experience with various hydraulic systems and machinery.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and machinery.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent industry-related experience.
- Minimum age of 18.
- 5 or more years of proven experience as a Hydraulic Technician or in a similar role
within a manufacturing or marine/industrial environment preferred. - Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to effectively troubleshoot and repair
hydraulic systems. - Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Completion of a technical training program in hydraulics is preferred
